Jim Forsell Story

Just got the updated teaser I shot with Chuck Alley for the Jim Forsell story last night. Chuck did an amazing job with the editing on this piece. Hoping we can get into full production with the documentary this year.

USA vs Venezuela

I was back down in Phoenix yesterday as Ricardo Clark was the hero with a goal in stoppage time as the USA defeated Venezuela 1-0. Funny to be back there so soon after the Fiesta Bowl with Stanford. Great to see some new faces on the USA squad.

Stanford vs Utah

A few from Thursday night. We had a couple nice dunks which made it fun.

Fireworks

Getting my fireworks shots in early this year with the post game show after the Quakes ended up a great match last night with a 2-2 tie with the Red Bulls at Stanford Stadium. It was worth it lugging around my tripod all match to get this shot at the end.

U2

Got a chance to be pretty close to the Edge and Bono last Tuesday night in Oakland. I thought about renting a Leica but it looked a little too big to smuggle in past security, so went with my 4 year old Panasonic Point and Shoot.

Too bad, as I saw several people with full blown DSLR’s in the crowd! Should have brought my D3′s and 24-70, but, I would have driven my wife nuts shooting, when I should have been having fun.

Still, I’m please with the results. Although not tack sharp, and there is motion blurr, it still captured the feeling of the crowd cheering.

Porsche Turbo S

Photographed the Turbo S with my friend Theo Nissan last Sunday for ProMotor Magazine. Great machine. Kind of like a Nikon on wheels!

Quakes Win!

Oh boy, we needed this one tonight. What started out as a lackluster first half turned into a 3-0 goalfest over the Columbus Crew at Buck Shaw Stadium. Is this the start of a championship run to the top? I call it every year, and so I say yes!

Back in Action

Well, after a 6 week break from blogging due to being hacked, and locked out of my own blog, I’m back!  A long geeky story of how I regained access to my blog will wait for another time.

For now, a shot of the Bay Bridge and the SF skyline from last night. Hopefully you’ll see this shot along with some others on billboards soon. I’m a sucker for SF scenics, so when my client asked me to shoot a bunch for a project, I was pretty thrilled.

Remote

Finally got the remote working again, though we are still working on the eye fi auto uploads. The culprit was a dead battery in the pocket wizards. So, we’ll need to get these on ac adaptors for next season. Also tested out a d7000 tonight. Pretty snappy, so, I think I’ll keep as a third body/remote.
